The number of people joining caravan insurance policyholders by investing in a mobile home may be on the increase, as experts have said more Britons are buying the mobile homes while others are boosting local tourism.
Speaking about the recent summer period, a spokesman from Haven Holidays has said that the season saw Britons return to resorts at home in their droves.
He went on to say that holidaymakers appear to like what they see back home.
Meanwhile, a study recently conducted by accountancy form PFK highlighted that UK tourists have helped keep some British holiday favourites afloat during the recession.
"Predictions that more people would come to places like Great Yarmouth to avoid the hassle, poor exchange rates and added cost of trips abroad seem to have been fulfilled. And it has kept the town solvent," commented regional managing partner Michael Muskett.
A recent article in Travel Weekly saw VisitEngland chief executive James Berresford comment that British travel agents are now increasingly focusing on holidays in the UK.
In terms of marketing the country to others outside the UK, he said: "The England that I'm selling is one where we have the heritage and culture that stretches back thousands of years, but also one that is very modern."
