A new photography book has been published that aims to transport readers to the English countryside.
Caravan insurance customers may be inspired to take their vehicle and go for a weekend away after hearing that the book's author Simon Roberts is a keen motorhomer.
The book was created by Mr Roberts when he travelled around England's rural landscapes with his wife and children last year, taking pictures of holidaymakers at leisure.
In an interview with the Independent, the photographer said: "It's about people and their relationship with the landscape. Few of us do what we want for work. We work to achieve our leisure so it says more about who we are."
He explained that he decided to focus on England rather than Britain as devolution had already brought out a stronger sense of each nation's individual character.
Mr Roberts cited influences as diverse as contemporary photographer Martin Parr and landscape artists such as Avercamp and Breugel.
One image, taken in Derbyshire, features a middle-aged Muslim couple dressed in traditional robes.
Referring to the picture, Mr Roberts commented: "We tend to think of these kinds of views as being inhabited by the white middle classes. I like that this photograph challenges the stereotype."
