Romahome has launched its latest motorhome conversion, which promises to pack a host of new features into a compact chassis.

The firm claims the new model builds on the one-piece monocoque bodies that started with models from the mid-1980s.

Now built on to the Citroen Berlingo, the R25 will be priced at £29,995 and includes two wardrobes and four overhead storage lockers.

Brian Bailey, the manufacturer's managing director, said the model's arrival has been keenly awaited by caravan insurance customers and industry specialists alike.

He explained that one of its best features is that it is compact enough to use every day, with the option of extra seatbelts negating the need for a second car.

A retractable bike rack caught the attention of organisers of the National Exhibition Centre's Innovation of the Year competition, who requested it be entered for judging.

Hot water and blown air heating systems are also included in the motorhome's standard specification, along with a 60-litre fridge and wet room.

Founded in 1982, Romahome defines its philosophy as producing mobile accommodation with all the versatility, economy and driveability of a car.
