Owners of a Norfolk caravan site are hoping to expand the park with 37 new pitches, it has been reported.
According to the Thetford and Brandon Times, the application submitted by the Caravan Club also includes plans for a new toilet block, a bigger reception area and extra warden accommodation.
Locate in Hillborough, near Thetford, the site currently has 104 pitches in the middle of Forestry Commission-maintained woodland.
The club said the planned expansion is part of a nationwide strategy to improve its 200 parks around the country.
"The Caravan Club fully intends to comply with current regulations and good practice to make the proposed improvements as accessible as practical to both members of the public and employees," it added.
A decision on whether the firm can continue with the project will be reached by the local council by December 1st, claims the local newspaper.
Another holiday park hoping to improve its accommodation is Devon site Finlake, whose owners hope to build two new areas for caravanners.
