A caravan park in Devon is celebrating after reaching the finals of a tourism contest.
Ladram Bay Holiday Park, founded 70 years ago, has been named a regional finalist in the South West Tourism Excellence Awards, Devon24.co.uk reports.
According to general manager of the site Claire Williams, the park is one of five finalists making it to the next stage in the judging process.
"In addition to this latest official recognition, the park has won many awards over the years for its high quality standards and concern for the natural environment," she commented.
Among its previous accolades is a tourist board rose award for the park's standard of the accommodation.
Caravan insurance policyholders with a passion for nature may also be interested to read that the site won a special conservation award from botanist David Bellamy for its efforts to create a "wildlife wonderland" rich in bio-diversity.
Visitors to the site can take their own mobile homes or rent one offered by the firm and can also take advantage of a number of features including an entertainment centre and private beach, which can be visited only by guests of the park.
The site will find out whether it has won an award when the ceremony takes place on November 23rd.
