People looking to take out caravan insurance this year should have plenty of choice when it comes to choosing where to go on their holidays, following a new report from Visit Britain.
Caravan Magazine reports that the latest Visit Britain Tourist Board star ratings have seen many caravan sites perform well.
The latest round of ratings has resulted in 19 Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) sites receiving five stars, while a further six locations have been given four stars by the organisation, demonstrating the high quality of caravan sites across the UK.
CCC sites director, Bob Hill, told the magazine: "It is a much-deserved recognition for the efforts of the sites team at headquarters, as well as the holiday sites managers, assistants and the franchisees."
Meanwhile, the number of people taking out caravan insurance looks to have increased this year thanks to the recession and forecasts of a 'barbecue summer'.
The Daily Mail has reported Haven Holidays has seen sales of static caravans on its sites around the country increase by 23.8 per cent compared to the previous year, with sales in Cornwall and Wales 50 per cent higher than in 2008.
