The importance of investing in caravan insurance to provide some financial help should a mobile home be stolen has been highlighted by a recent theft.

Police in Oswaldtwistle recently released a CCTV image of an expensive caravan that was stolen from a farm in the area earlier this month.

Radio station 107 The Bee reports the incident took place on November 5th.

The Bailey Ranger caravan was seen to be hooked from the farm by three men travelling in a darkly-coloured Vauxhall Omega.

Police Constable Neil Pugh told the radio station that anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area on the day should get in touch with officers.

"This caravan was taken in broad daylight and I am confident that someone will have seen it being towed away along Haslingden Road and beyond," he added.

Meanwhile, during the same period, a touring caravan was stolen from a Lowthorpe farm in Nafferton.

The Driffield Times reports that a 27ft Hobby 650 touring caravan was stolen between 18:00 GMT on Wednesday November 4th and 08:15 GMT on Monday November 9th.

According to the publication, a large vehicle would have been required to move the mobile home, which features blue stripes on the outside.
