A number of caravan insurance claims could be set to ensue following flooding at a site in North Yorkshire.
About a dozen people had to be rescued from a number of mobile home parks along the River Nidd in Knaresborough when it burst its banks.
Many of those brought to safety may be grateful for their caravan insurance policies, which could help offset some of the financial damage to their mobile homes.
Firefighters attended 15 incidents of flooding across Yorkshire on Sunday evening (November 29th), also rescuing a couple with a young child who were trapped in their car, the BBC reports.
Early on Monday morning, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service had to be called to the Nidderdale Caravan Park in Knaresborough as water levels rose.
As a precaution, 15 people staying at the site had to be evacuated and a boat was used to ferry those affected to safety, the Yorkshire Post reports.
The caravan residents returned to their mobile homes once the water levels had dropped.
Last month, the BBC reported that a man inside a caravan had to be rescued by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service when the road he was towing the vehicle on became flooded.
