A striking example of the importance of caravan insurance has been highlighted by a recent arson attack on a mobile home in South Humberside.
The event in Keadby, Scunthorpe, took place on November 24th, causing damage to five vehicles in total.
Among the affected autos was a Bailey Limoson four-berth caravan, parked on a driveway, which was set alight, the Epworth Bells reports.
Fire crews from Scunthorpe and Epworth attended the scene to find the blaze had spread from the mobile home to neighbouring vehicles, including a red Mitsubishi and a Chrysler.
Firefighters were on hand for 90 minutes and police were also called after reports that a suspicious person approached the property and started the fire.
Despite gas cylinders being in the garden at the time of the inferno, nobody was hurt.
In related news, a static caravan was set ablaze in Leicester around the end of October.
The fire service attended the scene to tackle the fire, but investigating police officer Mark Brennan said the "damage to the caravan is beyond repair".
A mobile home being used for storage at a farm in Blackburn was also recently destroyed following an arson attack, the Blackburn Citizen reports.
