Avid caravanners may want to tune their TVs in to receive the Caravan Channel in the coming weeks, as a number of prize draws are being held.

The first draw was shown on December 2nd on Sky 166 and Freesat 402, with various forthcoming competitions to be held.

Among the prizes to be won is a week's holiday on member sites in the C'est si bon group in France, weekend towing or motorhome driving courses with The Caravan Club, Channel ferry crossings with P & O and LD Lines and a week's pitches in Ireland.

Producer and presenter Chris Gosling commented the channel has amassed a huge following since its inception three years ago.

He added he has "always enjoyed having the chance to hand back some really worthwhile prizes to them [the viewers] – the people without whom the Caravan Channel and the caravan industry itself would not exist".

The next new edition of the show will premiere on Wednesday December 16th, with programmes showing at 19:00 GMT on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Viewers are currently being offered the chance to win tickets for the Manchester Central Caravan and Motorhome Show, which runs between January 21st and 24th 2010.
