One mobile home owner in Devon might have been grateful for his caravan insurance policy recently when an irate neighbour damaged his vehicle.
Torquay magistrates' court was told that 65-year-old Brian Johnson entered a caravan intending to cause damage after discovering the mobile home's owner was having an affair with his wife, the Herald Express reports.
Owner of the vehicle, Stephen Reader, was a friend of the couple's.
Johnson caused more than £1,000 of damage, potentially resulting in a hefty caravan insurance claim for Mr Reader.
After discovering some of his wife's possessions inside the mobile home, Johnson went on the rampage, throwing a television and damaging a host of other items, including a fridge, stereo and caravan awning.
The incident happened on September 15th after Johnson became suspicious of his wife's relationship with their friend.
In other romance-related caravan news, producers of ITV show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here erected a caravan in the jungle for the show's contestants to enjoy some privacy and make a romantic connection. The attempt failed, however, although Dynasty star George Hamilton did enjoy a round of speed-dating in the mobile home.
