A firm that stores caravans and motorhomes during winter is seeing a roaring trade just six weeks after setting up business.
As mobile home owners look to protect their vehicles from damage, wear and tear and potential caravan insurance claims during the cold months, Lingfield Warehousing in Darlington has welcomed its 50th customer with her classic caravan.
The Northern Echo reports that mobile beautician Kerry Lewis was the 50th customer, bringing her classic 1960s US Airstream Silver Bullet for storage at the Lingfield Point business park.
Ms Lewis, who was a finalist at the recent North-East female entrepreneur of the year awards, uses the mobile home for her business but stores it at the site when it is not in use.
The secure environment at the location could help provide peace of mind for caravan insurance policyholders who would worry about the safety of their models if they storied them on the driveway.
"Talking to customers and tailoring the package to suit their needs is at the heart of our ethos," commented Sophie Carter, of Lingfield Warehousing.
Last month nebusiness.co.uk reported that storage plot provider the Hambleton Group in Stockton had been operating at full capacity during the recession and has now bought extra land to expand its facility.
