Caravanners could find themselves with a greater variety of destinations in Warwickshire following approval for a new mobile home site in the area.
Stratford-on-Avon district council has given the nod to a new development at Long Marston that will include the creation of a caravan park.
The £100 million venture will see the facility erected on the former Ministry of Defence site, along with 500 new homes, an outdoor activity centre and numerous holiday lodges.
But caravan insurance policyholders might want to keep their fingers crossed that the development is not rejected by communities secretary John Denham and is granted a section 106 agreement that allows planning permission.
John Dodds, St Modwen regional director, told the Birmingham Post recently: "A permanent planning permission will provide certainty for the businesses currently located at the site, helping to protect jobs and enabling employers to plan for future growth."
Portfolio holder for planning councillor George Atkinson told the Coventry Telegraph the development would boost the area's tourism.
"It should help the centre of Stratford become a much more buoyant tourist centre," he suggested.
A decision is expected in January on whether the application should be called in.
