People in Winsford, Cheshire, may find they can access cheaper caravan insurance in future thanks to a new scheme designed to safeguard their vehicles.
While Neighbourhood watch schemes have been running throughout the country for many years, a new initiative in Winsford will see neighbours looking out for each other's caravans in the future.
According to the Winsford Guardian, the scheme will see residents at the Lakeside Caravan Park looking after each other's static caravans, with four residents being given the role of coordinators.
These members will be contactable by anyone in the area who may have concerns about the security of the caravan or to report suspected criminal activity, allowing appropriate action to be taken and potentially reducing the risk of crime at the caravan park.
Such an initiative could prove an important deterrent to criminals, as static caravans could be a target during the winter months when they are often left empty by their owners.
Meanwhile, a man in the Cotswolds has transformed his caravan into a cinema, the Cotswold Journal reports, offering an unusual way to keep his mobile home busy even during the winter months.
