Mobile home owners planning to upgrade to a Volkswagen California campervan can now get a new finance deal that could help them spread the cost of such a purchase.

Caravan insurance policyholders thinking of investing in the model will be eligible for a variety of finance offers between January 1st and March 31st 2010, with payments for the campervan starting at £399 per month at a typical rate of 4.9 per cent.

The model boasts a range of features including a pop-up roof, kitchen with a fridge and two double beds, while also being suitable for daily trips to work or the shops.

Simon Elliott, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said that the affordable vehicle is likely to appeal to families planning to holiday at home or take touring breaks.

"Everybody dreams of escaping in a Volkswagen campervan, and the new features for the California and the Caravelle make them irresistible, more luxurious and cheaper to run," he continued.

The California campervan is available in a range of solid, metallic and pearl finishes and is described by Volkswagen as the perfect way to escape normal life and enjoy some activities or just relax.
