A caravanning couple have beaten hundreds of other hopefuls to win the position of assistant managers at a North Wales caravan park.
Andrew and Angela Linley have taken up their positions at Riverside Touring Park in Betws-y-Coed after spotting the job advert while on a caravan holiday at the site, the Daily Post North Wales reports.
Morris Leisure, who owns the park, said the couple had pipped around 500 other people at the post.
Mr Linley, aged 53, worked as a national account manager before taking up his position.
"Caravanners are very enthusiastic people and I can imagine that anybody seeing the opportunity to become assistant manager of this park, which is in a fantastic location of natural beauty within Snowdonia National Park, would be attracted to apply for the position. Hence the high volume of applicants," he suggested.
Mr Linley went on to say that it could seem like fate that the couple got the job, both being such keen caravanners and wanting to tie their hobbies in with a new challenge.
According to the publication, the mobile home park has seen visitor numbers increase by 20 per cent this year, perhaps as a result of caravan insurance policyholders looking to offset the effects of the credit crunch.
An earlier study by the RAC found that 60 per cent of Britons planned to take their annual holiday at home in 2009.
