Britons looking for a holiday for four on a budget might want to consider joining the countries many caravan insurance policyholders and opting for a trip in a static or mobile home.
The Mirror has compiled a list of family and wallet-friendly breaks that may offer the perfect getaway for a 2010 break.
According to the publication, consumers might want to try staying at a "superior two-bedroom luxury caravan" at Lakeland Holiday Park in the Lake District with Haven, which is offering a seven-night trip for £549.
The deal is available to book from July 30th and includes activities such as swimming lessons and football coaching.
Meanwhile, the paper also suggests that Britons could be quids-in if they plan a visit to Dawlish Sands in Devon from July 31st with Hoseasons.
A family of four can book seven nights self-catering in a two-bedroom caravan for £643 if booked by February 12th, with the break offering entertainment and children's clubs.
For those looking to wait until later in the year to book their holiday, a National Caravan Rally in spring could be just the ticket for an active day out, with the event - held by the Caravan Club - taking place at Weston Park in Shropshire on May 28th to June 1st 2010.
