The importance of investing in a good caravan insurance policy has been brought to light following a number of burglaries at a holiday home park.
According to the East Coast Target, Southview caravan site on Burgh Road in Skegness was recently the victim of criminal behaviour when a number of mobile homes were attacked by thieves.
The publication reports that the crimes, which took place between January 5th and 9th, saw a number of caravans affected by the thefts, in which valuable items were stolen.
In the first incident, forced entry was gained and a plasma television was taken.
The second incident saw a window forced open and a television, digital camera and wheelbarrow were stolen.
Police officers local to the area are calling upon caravanners to be vigilant for thieves and keep their mobile homes secure, reporting any suspicious individuals or activity.
Last year, Skegness Police revealed they had traced a high-risk offender who was found to be in possession of items that related to 12 caravan burglaries over the previous year. Convicted sex offender Stephen Grimes, aged 52, was arrested and placed on remand in prison.
