A caravan park in Devon is set to up the ante after a successful year by improving its facilities.

Despite the recession, mobile home holiday providers are among the firms seeing positive business results, with Devon Cliffs Holiday Park in Sandy Bay among those companies ploughing increased revenue into its services.

Caravan insurance policyholders could find accommodation is above par at the resort, run by Haven Holidays, as the park is looking to recruit more than 100 housekeepers to keep on top of work.

The jobs are among 300 being advertised by the five-star resort, which is holding a recruitment day on January 29th in a bid to fill some of the positions, the Exmouth Herald reports.

Other jobs available will include reception and bar work, pool lifeguards and security staff.

Holiday sales manager at Devon Cliffs Lisa Spickett commented: "We had a record year in 2009 and we're looking to build on that for 2010 with a big push on raising the quality of accommodation to exceed our guests' expectations."

Situated close to a beach and boasting a luxury spa and entertainment centre, the park opens for season on March 19th and close on November 1st.
