With half-term week in full swing, caravan insurance policyholders may be getting ready to embark on a break with their families.

With vehicle maintenance likely to be an unwanted worry for many motorists, Vauxhall has launched a special safety pack to help provide for unforeseen circumstances.

The vehicle manufacturer is releasing a pack containing emergency must-haves in a handy zip bag, including a first aid kit, warning triangle and high visibility vest.

Andrea Caumon from Vauxhall Aftersales commented: "Wherever you take your vehicle, being prepared for the unexpected is every driver's responsibility."

She added that the safety pack can offer peace of mind and essential assistance for those planning a break with their vehicle at an affordable cost.

The kit, which attaches to the vehicle's carpet via Velcro strips, is priced at £27 and is created to meet requirements set out by some European countries like France, which stipulates that motorists must carry a warning triangle and high visibility vest.

Road safety campaign Drive Alive encourages motorists planning a driving trip to Europe to be aware of the different rules of the road for each of their destination countries, including speed limits and legal blood alcohol levels.
