A Devon caravan park has achieved a run of awards that could enhance the site's appeal to caravan insurance policyholders looking for the perfect spring break.
Set to open for the season at the end of March, Woodovis Park has recently scooped a number of accolades, including the Hoseasons Diamond Award, silver in the South West Tourism for Excellence Awards 2009/10 Holiday Park of the Year and a highly commended title in the Alan Rogers 2009 Campsite Awards.
The five-star site, which is situated on the edge of Dartmoor, is also ranked in Practical Caravan's Top 100 Parks 2010.
The park's owners, John and Dorothy Lewis, have said they are delighted with the recognition, which is "incredibly gratifying".
"We work very hard to ensure Woodovis Park is a friendly, safe and welcoming site, combining the best standards of sustainable camping with a few creature comforts," commented Mr Lewis.
He added that while the site is not one of the biggest, it is reassuring to know it is one of the best.
The 14-acre site offers a range of facilities, including a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and spa pool.
