Caravan owners around the UK have been advised to make sure they are fully protected following three thefts at the end of March.
Three caravans with a combined value of more than £20,000 were stolen in Fenland last month, highlighting the importance of having caravan insurance, particularly as the holiday season is coming up.
David Quick, managing director of Insure My Caravan, which gave the warning, described these thefts as a "real wake-up call as the caravanning season begins".
He said: "In many cases such extreme situations can be easily avoided if the caravan owner has a number of security features in place."
The caravan insurance provider explained that implementing security devices, such as tracking technology, thief beater identification systems, wheel locking devices and alarms often put off potential criminals.
These features can also reduce the price of caravan insurance as it ensures that the motorcade is less at risk.
Last week, thegreencarwebsite.co.uk urged families to take a holiday this Easter half-term closer to home to save money and reduce their carbon footprint.
