A motorhome firm in Derbyshire is launching a special service for customers looking for used vehicles.

Peak Leisure Vehicles based in Kirk Langley has developed a Bargain Hunt service, which could appeal to motorhome insurance policyholders looking for their perfect model but unable to find what they want.

As part of the service, which is free, the company scours the country looking for the right mobile homes for clients.

According to the firm, any stigma once associated with buying a used vehicle is no longer present, as the vehicles' benefits are clear.

"Traditionally associated just with the retired couple cashing in on their pension funds, this old stereotype is giving way as increasing numbers of younger couples and families discover the cost advantages, convenience and freedom that a motor home can provide," Peak Leisure Vehicles commented.

Peak Leisure Vehicles director Steve Parsons said the company always tries to buy vehicles from their first owners, which can mean savings of between ten and £20,000 against new vehicle prices, and sells the mobile homes on from £8,000.

Investing in such a vehicle could mean that families get a holiday every weekend of the year, and could provide a solution this May Day bank holiday for dealing with the travel chaos caused by the volcanic ash cloud.
