A week-long event has started in Wales to help educate people of the opportunity for adult learning.

Among the features of the Adult Learners' Week is a visit to the event by a recycled caravan containing a solar-powered cinema entitled Sol Cinema, WalesOnline.co.uk reports.

Organisers have said that those attending Cardiff’s Chapter Arts Centre during the week, which is where the event is running, will be invited to attend free taster sessions highlighting the opportunities available to adults who want to learn.

Steve Johnson of Niace Dysgu Cymru (The National Institute of Adult Continuing Education) said the group has selected films to showcase at the event that will open people's minds and get them thinking.

"Our films will be shown on the big screen in Chapter, but we're also excited about the visit of Sol Cinema," he commented.

The mobile cinema, which may interest caravan insurance policyholders with a passion for the mobile homes, will also be showing films at Adult Learners' Week at the Gnoll, Neath and in Merthyr.

Sol Cinema can seat eight adults or12 young people in comfort and boasts a library of comedy, environmentally-themed, quirky and music short videos.
