Caravanners are being urged to rediscover the beauty of the UK by opting for a holiday in Scotland.

According to the Express and Star, "nothing beats the caravan parks of Scotland", where visitors can expect to find exquisite scenery, rugged landscapes and picturesque coastlines.

Photo opportunities abound, the newspaper states, and many caravan insurance policyholders could find that a week is only long enough to scratch the surface of what the country has to offer.

Many of the sites offer static caravans for those visitors who do not own touring models and on-site or local amenities can make visitors feel at home.

A warm welcome is likely to greet caravan insurance policyholders pitching up for the week, with visitors able to take in sightseeing, shopping, nature and nightlife depending on their chosen site.

Breaks in Scotland can also be budget-friendly, with holiday operator Hoseasons offering a week in a caravan from £124.

The firm has a number of sites across Scotland, from Argyll and Ayrshire to Perthshire, Lothian and Angus.

Hoseasons is currently offering savings of up to £100 when families book their breaks to certain Scottish sites in June or July.
