Plans have been submitted for the development of a touring caravan site in Prestatyn.
Ffrith Leisure has requested approval to transform an overflow car park at Ffrith Beach Festival Gardens into a park for caravans, providing space for 56 mobile home pitches, the Rhyl Journal reports.
The application has been recommended for approval despite some concerns raised about opening times and the need for the entrance to the site to be improved.
If given the nod, the build could mean a greater choice of mobile home parks for visiting caravan insurance policyholders as well as a boost to the local economy.
As well as the pitches, the site would provide 13 spaces for motorhomes.
A number of letters were received by the local council suggesting potential issues relating to noise, water and electricity supplies and loss of open space.
However, other letters received welcomed the plan, saying the build is exactly the sort of development to make the most of the space and highlighting the potential cash injection the site would bring to the economy.
Recently, the decision was made to allow 24 touring caravans to be sited at Catchwater Meadows in Burgh le Marsh, Skegness, the Skegness Standard reports.
