Caravanners planning to head to the Isle of Skye for their summer holiday this year might want to make use of the new car hire service being offered by the Camping and Caravanning Club.
Caravan insurance policyholders staying at the club's site on the island can choose from four small cars available to hire from £35 a day.
The models are a manual Vauxhall Corsa, Rover 75 , Rover 45 and an automatic Chrysler Neon.
David Weller and Nicky Sellier, who manage the club's franchise, commented that the service is proving to be a success.
"Many campers arrive with large motorhomes and find that having the opportunity to hire a car gives them the ability to explore the island in full," they commented.
Because the service gets booked up quickly, caravan insurance policyholders are advised to contact the site to check for availability.
The site lies on the right shore of Loch Greshornish and local attractions include the Museum of Island Life and Dunvegan Castle.
Nature-lovers will find breathtaking scenery at the site along with native Highland cattle and otters. The site also recently erected two wooden camping pods complete with beds and electricity sockets at the park.
