A caravan-owner who won £2 million in a National Lottery draw has vowed to continue caravanning.

Wally Jinks, a 51-year-old caravan enthusiast from Edenthorpe, Doncaster, shared the win with his friend Alan Stringer after they matched six numbers in June 19th's Lotto Rollover.

Mr Jinks said he will be using his share of the windfall to refurbish the caravan he owns with his wife.

"We're going to upgrade our caravan - we tour caravans," he explained.

"We're going to buy a new car as well. Not a brand new one, a Shogun."

The lucky man, who may also hold caravan insurance, was on holiday with his wife at the time of the draw and did not find out about his win until five days after they returned from Jersey.

"They kept saying 'you've got to be millionaires to live over here'. At the time, we were," Mr Jinks said.

The lottery winner and his wife enjoy caravanning on the Yorkshire coast and will continue to do so.

Mr Jinks, a self-employed tyre repairer, also explained that he would not be giving up work as he did not want to let down his business partner.
