Caravan insurance policyholders considering where to take their next staycation could peruse the Camping and Caravanning Club's improved SiteSeeker tool.
The search directory went live last month and allows users to find suitable camping and caravanning sites near a town, city or postcode using Google Maps.
Once a search has been entered, online consumers can click on the relevant flags around their chosen destination to view the site's details.
The SiteSeeker tool allows users to narrow down the radius of their search as well as select the type of pitch they are after and whether they are bringing a caravan, motor home or tent.
Each site also explains to users what amenities and facilities it has to offer.
Camping and Caravanning Club's e-business manager Tamsin Smyth commented that: "It has never been easier for members and non-members to select their perfect site.
"We have worked relentlessly to complete SiteSeeker and we are confident that this latest development will speed up the site selection process."
Co-manager Will Knott agreed that the improved tool gives users more information than ever before and suggested that caravan insurance policyholders now have no excuse to stay at home as there are over 2,300 camp sites to choose from online.
