A caravan enthusiast has had his beloved motor returned to him days after it was stolen in Essex.
Firefighter Mick Weald told the Chelmsford Weekly News that his "pride and joy" has been recovered three days after thieves broke into the garage where it was being repaired.
The theft of a motor caravan would usually result in the owner having to make a claim on their caravan insurance, but luckily the vehicle was found nearby in Great Baddow.
Mr Weald told the newspaper: "It has some damage to it, but it is driveable.
"The garage where it was stolen from is carrying out the repairs and it will be ready for me to take my children away in the summer holidays."
He said his daughter had cried when news of the caravan's theft had emerged, but she is happy now it has been found.
Essex police are now looking for a suspect described as an 18-year-old white man with a tattoo on his neck.
The case follows advice from the Daily Mail about keeping caravan insurance costs down while protecting vehicles against theft and damage.
Recommendations from the paper included fitting immobilisers, alarms and tracking devises to caravans to improve security, while stamping identification numbers on the chassis and windows could help authorities track down a vehicle in the event of a theft.
