Peugeot expects a number of UK fleet managers to be updating their van insurance policies in 2012.
The French manufacturer believes that it will increase business registrations way beyond the 54,720 achieved in 2011.
It is anticipating a "significant" rise on the back of new model introductions and "groundbreaking" hybrid technology.
"We have been surprised by the level of interest shown in our products so far in 2012 – the surge is across all sectors and I think it shows the progress we're making in changing the perception that fleets have about our brand," fleet and used vehicle operations director Phil Robson told Fleet News.
He went on to add that the company is not as concerned about market share in the current volatile climate, instead focusing on the creation of a long-term strategy.
The Peugeot Bipper was recently named City Van of the Year by Fleet Van.
