Caravan show expected to be a big hit

Britain's mobile home enthusiasts will get the chance this month to congregate at what is expected to be one of the biggest caravanning exhibitions of the year.

The National Boat, Caravan and Outdoor Show will run at the NEC in Birmingham from February 17th to 25th and having attracted nearly 143,000 visitors last year, its organisers are expecting another huge showing this time around.

This event coincides with the Caravan Club's centenary and Britain's premier caravanning organisation will be showcasing the original Wanderer model, built back in the late 19th century, as well as the so-called 'Caravan of the Future' designed by one of its members.

The show's website informs all attendees: "Whether you are an experienced outdoor enthusiast or a novice, you'll find the leading manufacturers and suppliers of a diverse selection of outdoor products and services all offering the latest products on the market and friendly advice on how to get started in your chosen activity."

Those who visit the show will also be able to take a free lesson on how to properly tow a mobile home, as well as to obtain specialist guidance and instruction on safely manoeuvring a motorised caravan.

Caravanning is now the UK's most popular form of domestic tourism, accounting for a fifth of all holidays taken in Britain, while the Caravan Club has attracted 57,000 new families over the past year alone.
