Police investigate theft of caravan
West Mercia Police have appealed for the public's help as they investigate the theft of a four-berth caravan from a golf club.
The white Aldis Storm caravan, worth approximately £18,000, was taken from where it was being stored at Great Comberton Golf Club sometime between December 1st and 29th 2007, reports the Evesham Journal.
It appears likely that the owner will need to claim on their caravan insurance following the theft, but police officers have not yet given up hope of recovering the twin-axle vehicle and are aiming to jog the memory of local residents.
Police spokesman Richard Bull told the newspaper: "Although it may have seemed innocent enough at the time, now that a theft has been discovered, someone may recall seeing one or more people tinkering with a caravan and/or an unfamiliar vehicle in the vicinity."
Meanwhile, the same police force has warned people heading out on the roads about the importance of being well prepared for the cold weather expected to hit the UK over the next few days.
In addition to checking that tyres are in a good condition and lights are working, it recommended taking extra clothes, boots, food, a torch and a spade on all journeys that may be affected by snow.
