Manchester Caravan & Motorhome Show kicks off with rugby star
Rugby star Jason Robinson was on hand to kick off this year's Manchester Caravan and Motorhome Show.
The event, held until Sunday at the Manchester Central conference centre, featured a host of caravan firms showing off their wares for the coming year.
Discover, Swift, Lowdham, Coachman and Sterling were all present, with a number of enthusiasts keen to explore the new vehicles.
It may be that there are some who choose to buy a new motor home this weekend and take out insurance with one of the many caravan insurance firms on display at various booths.
Jason Robinson officially opened the event, stating that he hopes people get the same enjoyment out of caravanning that he did as a child.
Alongside the star were a number of celebrity lookalikes, including silver screen siren Marilyn Monroe and comedy icons David Jason and David Brent.
Robinson has plenty of time on his hands to enjoy a trip in a motor home since his retirement after the 2007 Rugby World Cup.
Earlier this year, he was invited to Buckingham Palace in order to receive an OBE for his services to the sport.
