Caravan site fate decision date announced
Officials in Northumberland have announced the date on which they will decide whether plans to build a caravan site will go ahead, it has been reported.
According to Northumberland Today, plans have been set in motion by Serac Solutions to build a 100-pitch lot on the Snipe House Farm area of Alnwick.
However, the news source adds that the move was put on hold as those against the plan complained that the public had not been made aware of what was happening.
It may be that the extra motor homes cause a problem for people in the region with caravan insurance.
This is because a number of cover providers may choose to increase policy prices if they consider the additional vehicles indicative of a greater risk.
Meanwhile, West Sussex Fire and Rescue were called out on Friday night after two blazes broke out in Bognor.
"The caravans were quite some way apart from each other and both fires were started deliberately," said an official.
"Fortunately, no one was injured by both caravans were completely destroyed."
