Caravan site pick up regional business prize

A caravan park in Flintshire has been awarded a local business prize for its efforts in the local community, it has been reported.

The Wrexham Evening Leader comments that Tree Tops Caravan Park in Gwespyr has been given the Flintshire Celebrates Business Tourism Award for demonstrating "considerable benefit" to the area.

It adds that Councillor Derek Butler described the venture as "a flagship business" in the region, showing aspects of growth while caring for the local environment.

Motor home owners in the area may now find that Tree Tops' quality leads to them saving on their caravan insurance policies, as cover firms may consider the site to be safer than others locally.

"We work very hard to be a flagship in Flintshire and the park is beautiful thanks to the efforts of the staff. We are absolutely delighted with the recognition we have received from Flintshire Council," commented Tree Tops general manager Andrew Walker.

Flintshire in north-east Wales is home to 150,100 people and its current administrative area came into existence in 1996.

It was formerly the borough of Flint.
