Eviction notices 'anger residents'
Residents at a caravan park in the Scottish Highlands have voiced their annoyance at being served with eviction papers, it has been reported.
The Northern Times states that static motor home owners at Pitgrudy Caravan Park were asked to leave in 21 days by site owners Green Parcs.
According to the newspapers, it is thought that the company is looking to remove static caravans from the area in order to install new park homes - preferable as they can be visited throughout the year.
It may be that by moving to a new area, people compromise their caravan insurance policies.
This could be because cover providers view the latest dwelling to be more of a risk - particularly if it is not a caravan park.
"It is not a satisfactory situation and not what we are used to in this part of the world. People who have been coming here for 20 or 30 years transcend the clinical terms of commerce and become friends and neighbours," commented East Sutherland and Edderton councillor Jim McGillivray.
This comes as the application to open a caravan site in Alnwick has been refused by local officials, the Northumberland Gazette reports.
