Motorhome retailer reports good business
Discover Leisure, a retailer specialising in caravans and motorhomes, has revealed its core business development is making good process in recent weeks, reports the North Wales Daily Post.
The company has already taken over the business that owned Harringtons Caravans, Leisure World, Barrons Holdings and Mendip Caravan Centre in recent months.
Those seeking caravan insurance with an interest in the industry may be affected by the announcement, as Discover Leisure's acquisitions have consolidated motorhome sales around the UK.
David Morrow, Discover Leisure chairman, told the newspaper: "In the period since we issued the preliminary results on December 10th 2007, we have made further good progress in the development of our core business."
He added that the company has launched a new Technical Helpline, which can offer various forms of assistance to caravanners.
The recent Caravan and Motorhome Show in Manchester demonstrated a variety of new models, including the latest layouts from Sprite and Fendt caravans.
England rugby World Cup winner Jason Robinson was also at the north-west show, telling the crowds about his experiences as a caravan owner.
