Cambourne caravan site set to open
Caravan owners in Cambourne will finally have somewhere to store their vehicles when the area's first trailer park opens this Friday, it has been reported.
According to the Hunts Post, the site close to New Hall Lane will have electricity, a water supply and fencing to keep unwanted people out.
It added that the local parish council will run the site after Cambourne consortium project manager David Chare passes responsibility to the body.
"We are delighted to be giving the trailer park to the residents of Cambourne, offering them a safe and secure place to store their caravans, trailers and camper vans," commented Mr Chare.
However, caravan owners in the area may find that their caravan insurance policies increase due to the increased amount of vehicles in the region - possibly because cover firms view it as a larger threat.
This comes as the Association of British Insurers has commented that people who own caravans should make sure that their vehicles are fully covered before they use or move them.
It stated that policy terms and conditions should be checked for their relevance to individual items - perhaps kept inside the motor home.
