Caravan owner told to cut park size
A park owner in Lancashire has been told to reduce the number of motor homes she currently stores on her land, it has been reported.
Chorley Today states that officials in the region have told Anne-Marie Mawdesley she needs to cut the number of motor homes on the Park View site on Runshow Lane in Euxton from 37 to 10.
This may see people with caravans in the region pay less for their caravan insurance policies, as cover firms could consider a reduce number of vehicles indicative of a lesser threat of damage.
Mrs Mawdesley told the news source that she will now lose the majority of her vehicles and business as a result.
However, she maintains that her disappointment is down to the principle of the matter and the fact that the council has not listened to her.
"The decision is very frustrating as I have already told the council that the owners are having difficulty finding new secure storage sites in the area," she said.
Meanwhile, the East Lothian Courier reports that a gang of youths carried approximately £1 million worth of damage when they attacked caravans at a park in the area.
