Booking for caravan holidays in 2008 "very buoyant"
The coming year already looks to be a good one for the caravan industry, if initial sales broadcasts are to be believed.
According to The Caravan Club, activity in the market so far in 2008 has already been "very, very buoyant".
Head of PR at the company Nikki Nichol states that all types of caravan holidays have proved to be popular, from city breaks in a motor home to countryside retreats.
She adds that the practice is cost-effective, with a family of four able to take a vacation for as little as £30 per night.
This uptake in caravan interest could result in a surge in caravan insurance policy sales, as people looking to get their vehicles covered for their holidays.
"People really want to visit our sites in the UK, whether it is going out to the countryside, a city centre break or a holiday by the sea; there is something for everybody," said Ms Nichol.
The May bank holiday weekend will see The Caravan Club hold its 81st National Rally, taking place this year at Holkham Hall in Norfolk.
