Common caravan mistakes listed by gas company
Gas supply firm Calor has revealed the top mistakes commonly made by caravan users.
The company comments that a number of problems usually arise when towing their motor home to a destination.
For example, Calor believes that people often forget just how important it is to have the right car for the type of caravan been carried.
It adds that holidaymakers often rush to their destinations, despite the fact that dragging a caravan will naturally take longer than regular driving.
And the installation of an awning should be practiced by those putting it up beforehand if any holiday disaster is to be avoided, Calor claims, with motor homes levelled on the pitch before detaching caravan from car.
Doing so could see people on holiday save both time and their caravan insurance policies if they do not damage their vehicles.
"Finding your feet as a new caravanner might sometimes mean learning from your mistakes - but it's always better to be able to learn from someone else's," Calor claimed.
Calor distributes heating and cooking applications and was awarded the PerCent Standard award in 2005.
