Family offers reward for stolen caravan

A reward is being offered for the safe return of a family's motor home after it was stolen, according to a Midlands news source.

Spalding Today has commented that £1,000 is being offered by Simon and Suzanne Bedwell-Byatt after their £6,000 vehicle was taken by thieves.

However, the couple found that their caravan insurance cover does not include incidents when the vehicle is parked.

This is part of the reason why the family has chosen to offer a bounty for anyone who can provide vital information.

"We discovered that while we had road risks cover for when we were travelling with it, we weren't covered for the circumstances in which it was taken so we decided to put up a reward to get it back," said Mr Byatt.

The news source added that the motor home is blue and white and has a steel ladder attached to the back of it.

Meanwhile, the Sheffield Telegraph has reported that a woman in the area was lucky not to be hurt when her caravan was crushed by a falling tree.

Jenny Ratcliffe was sleeping when strong gales blew pushed the tree onto her vehicle, according to the paper.
