Weather warning issued to high-sided vehicle drivers
Motorists in North Wales driving high-sided vehicles have been told to make sure they take due care on roads in the region, a local news source reports.
Strong winds have hit the area in the last few days, causing officials to warn against taking to the road in larger vehicles which could be blown off course, the Daily Post states.
Indeed, if a motor home were to be tipped over it may be that this has a serious effect on a caravan insurance policy, causing owners to make a claim or pay out for repairs.
Met Office chief forecaster Nick Grahame said that the gales will likely move northerly over the next few days.
He said: "We are forecasting another swathe of severe gales to affect parts of the UK, although the focus [is] further north compared to the severe weather on Monday."
Similarly strong winds have been reported as causing difficulty for motorists in West Sussex, the Horsham Today reports.
According to the news source, commuters were brought to a standstill at 08:15 GMT yesterday after an uprooted tree fell onto the A281.
