Northern Ireland 'a good option for vacationers'
Northern Ireland is a good place for people to take a short break, according to a tourism group which promotes the country.
Tourism Ireland remarks that the region has been made the centre of a €37 million (£28 million) campaign to promote its leisure facilities and suitability as a holiday destination.
Indeed, with today being St Patrick's Day, thousands of revellers will hit the Emerald Isle for a number of festivals and attractions including the colourful Shamrock and the Storm carnival.
However, it may be a good idea to research which parts of the island are safest to stay, in order to make a saving on caravan insurance.
According to a spokesperson for the group, both the north and south of the region are great places to visit.
"There are many other sites in the area related to St Patrick - Down Cathedral (the supposed site of St Patrick's grave), Struell Wells (where he was said to have bathed and sang psalms), and more," said the official.
In Dublin every year, thousands of people descend on the city in order to attend a five-day parade to celebrate St Patrick's Day.
