Banbury officials warn over caravan thefts
Banbury residents have been advised to keep their caravans out of danger after a series of burglaries have been reported in the area, a local news source has stated.
Motor homes and quad bikes have been stolen from barns in the region over the last few weeks, according to Banbury Today.
Officials in the town have identified such thefts as one of three top priorities they need to deal with, along with youths congregating in public and excessive speeders, the publication added.
Indeed, it may be that a theft has a serious effect on a caravan insurance policy, as firms could judge those targeted as negligent owners and subsequently increase prices in the future.
Local sergeant Dave Hibbert has said that local people need to do their utmost to keep their motor homes safe.
"We have also had a number of thefts of quad bikes and caravans from barns and garages, so if you have one of these items please ensure that you do all you can to protect it," commented the official.
This comes as a family from Spalding is offering a £1,000 reward for the return of its caravan, Spalding Today has reported.
