Fire officials evacuate caravan site after fire
People residing at a motor home park in Kent were evacuated this morning after a fire broke out in the area, a news source in the area has reported.
The Crawley Observer has stated that the Edenbridge park was emptied by officials earlier today after a blaze erupted in a small building containing gas cylinders.
Had the fire spread, it could have caused significant damage to motor homes in the area, possibly invalidating the caravan insurance polices of vehicle owners in the process.
Similarly, the cost of cover at the park could have gone up if companies in the insurance industry considered it a risk.
A spokeswomen commented on behalf of Kent Fire and Rescue that some residents went against advice from fire officials and returned to their caravans, the news source added.
Meanwhile, a publication in Lancashire has reported that firefighters have appealed to people in the area to be careful where they dump gas cylinders.
According to Bolton News, this comes after a fire erupted at the Clough beauty spot on Ivy Road in Bolton.
