Officials plan Kettering caravan site
Site planners in Kettering are looking to create a new place for caravaners and campers in the region to visit, according to a local news source.
The Northants Evening Telegraph has stated that officials in the region are looking to make way for 25 permanent motor homes in addition to 50 tent pitches and space for 100 caravans at Wicksteed Park.
It may be that the arrival of more vehicles at the site means that the cost of caravan insurance in the region goes up because some cover companies could judge the area to be representative of an increased risk.
According to site managing director John Roberts, the local landscape will not be affected by the plans.
He said: "Wicksteed is a wonderful location for a development like this. The park and the surrounding county has a lot to offer and if we can go ahead with our plans it would be a massive asset for us."
Meanwhile the Forres Gazette has reported that the expansion of a caravan site in Findhorn and Kinloss has raised concerns among local councillors.
Officials are said to be worried that the area could become a residential space, the news source added.
