Extra space for East Lothian caravan park

Officials in East Lothian have granted permission for a caravan park in the area to install new plots, a local news source has reported.

According to the East Lothian Courier, bosses at Seton Sands Holiday Village are hoping that this will be the first part of a £7 million redevelopment plan at the site.

It may be that the 58 new vehicle plots have an effect on the cost of caravan insurance for people looking to stay at the site.

This is because cover firms could view the extra motor homes as an indication of an increased threat.

A spokesperson commented that Bourne Leisure, the company which owns the park, is pleased to have been given the green light for the development.

"We are delighted by the decision of East Lothian Council to grant us planning permission to develop [more plots] at our Seton Sands holiday park," commented the source.

Meanwhile, plans to expand a caravan site in Northamptonshire have been revealed, a news source in the area has stated.

According to the Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph, 100 plots for motor homes, 50 tent pitches and 25 permanent caravan spaces are to be installed at Wicksteed Park.
