Goodwood opens caravan area

Motor car lovers visiting the Goodwood site will now be able to stay the night in a specially-built caravan and camping area, it has been reported.

Bognor Today has stated that officials in the region have developed a special area with over 350 plots for caravans and tents.

This means that people making the trip down to visit the July's Festival of Speed and September's Goodwood Revival can stay for the weekend and not miss out on a moment's action, according to the news source.

However, it could be that the extra facilities result in caravan insurance companies charging more for cover, as it may be that people stand more chance of damaging their vehicles with a larger number of motor homes around.

Other enhancements to the region include extra capacity at the Moss Pavilion, which now holds 600 people and has a new covered balcony and an elevated structure.

Indeed, the publication stated that the Goodwood Revival is to attract over 115,000 fans to its exhibition this year as it celebrates its tenth year.

The festival exhibits grand prix cars from the 1950s and 1960s, as well as historic saloon cars.
